The Swiss software company Alpha Augmented is launching its new product “OptiInsights” on the market. The company began developing the software four years ago and has been testing it for two years together with an international high-tech company. “During this time, we have refined the product and the customer saves between 13 and 18 per cent of their transport costs every month, as well as CO2 emissions of the same magnitude,” explains Massimo Rossetti, CEO and co-founder of Alpha Augmented, in an interview with DVZ.

In addition to the existing shipment-specific product, which allows customers to control how their products are packaged and shipped, Alpha Augmented wants to use the new software to create a holistic overview of its customers’ supply chain: The system recognises savings opportunities and highlights these for the customer through identified KPIs. A clear action plan is defined to achieve the savings.

To do this, the technology provides a detailed overview of the savings achieved broken down by product, missed savings, operational performance, orders, capacity utilisation, consolidation opportunities and product packaging performance. “Our technology enables the customer to gain control, measure performance and improve the efficiency of their supply chain,” says Rossetti.
